With over 20 years of experience managing some of Indonesia’s most prestigious luxury resorts, including properties for Four Seasons and Aman, Budi brings a world-class understanding of refined service to Komodo Holidays. Born to a Flores family, Budi’s connection to the region is personal. He founded Komodo Holidays with a vision to showcase the unparalleled beauty of his ancestral home while setting a new standard for ethical and luxurious marine tourism. He personally oversees our partner relations and ensures that the ‘Juara’ standard of excellence is present in every detail.
Isabelle Dubois
Head of Operations & Safety
Credentials: PADI Course Director, Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor Trainer, 15+ years in Indonesian Liveaboard Management
Isabelle is the driving force behind our operational integrity and uncompromising safety standards. Hailing from France, she has spent the last two decades navigating the waters of the Indonesian archipelago, managing elite liveaboard fleets from Raja Ampat to Komodo. Her meticulous attention to detail covers everything from vessel maintenance schedules and crew certifications to emergency action protocols and supply chain logistics. Isabelle personally conducts our annual partner audits, ensuring every vessel and operator in our network adheres to our strict criteria, detailed on our Safety & Compliance page.
Ayu Lestari
Lead Experience Curator & Head Guide
Credentials: Certified Expert Guide (Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia – HPI), Komodo National Park Ranger Training Certification
Ayu was born and raised in a small village just outside Labuan Bajo, and the Komodo National Park is her backyard. Her knowledge of the park’s flora, fauna, and local culture is encyclopedic. As a licensed HPI guide with over 10 years of experience, Ayu has an uncanny ability to read the behavior of the Komodo dragons and knows the best tidal conditions for snorkeling each of the park’s vibrant reefs. She designs our unique itineraries, trains our team of guides, and ensures that every guest experience is authentic, insightful, and deeply connected to the spirit of Flores.
Dr. David Chen
Marine Biologist & Sustainability Advisor (Consultant)
Credentials: Ph.D. in Marine Biology (James Cook University), Research Associate with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Indonesia
Dr. Chen provides the scientific backbone for our conservation and sustainability efforts.
